Ian C. Canepa, D.M.D. M.S.
Dr. Ian Canepa attended St. Christopher Elementary School and St. Ignatius High School before he graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a focus in History. He then returned to Cleveland and received his D.M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine as well as his Masters of Orthodontics. Dr. Canepa completed his master’s thesis researching the relationship between 3-D printing resolution and the quality of fit of clear retainers. He joins the practice well-versed in various orthodontic biomechanics and phase I early intervention along with extensive experience in comprehensive clear aligner treatment in teenagers and adults.
Out of the office Dr. Canepa enjoys cheering on each of Cleveland’s sports teams, as well as closely following college football. He completed the Cleveland Marathon in 2021 and continues to run for fun, even taking his Staffordshire terrier, Ava on his shorter jogs around Rocky River where he is currently a resident. One of his favorite hobbies is cooking and of course eating, whether it be trying a new cuisine or recipe to entertain when it comes time for the holidays.
